cycle of regional meetings of municipal committees

From Monday 29 November and held for two weeks, regional assemblies of local peasant committees (CCM) Farmers Market, with the objective of designing actions for 2011 in view of the impact on policy public and organizational strengthening of the process.


The cycle began on Monday 29 at El Colegio (Cundinamarca), with 80 delegates from 14 provinces CCM Tequendama and Sumapaz. Continues on Tuesday 30 in Ibague with delegates from 24 municipalities in the department of Tolima.

On Thursday 2 December there will be assemblies Cáqueza (Cundinamarca) with eight committees of the Eastern province and the rural nature of Bogota and Tunja simultaneously, with delegates from the ten CCM of Boyacá.

On Thursday 9 December, the shift will be to Zipaquirá, with the CCM of the savanna of Bogotá, and closes on Friday 10th cycle with the assembly of Granada (Meta), which will host committees that department.

The CCM is the organizational body of the Farmers Market process which brings together producers of each population. The assemblies to be accompanied by the Committee of Peasant and Community Interaction (CICC) and its part, and by the American Institute for Society and Alternative Law (ILSA) and Ministry of Economic Development in Bogota. The process also receives support from Oxfam Great Britain.

In the cycle of meetings involving about 500 delegates from more than fifty towns and rural society of Bogotá.
